New Roads to Second Chances

Sponsored by Caltrans and the City of Los Angeles and managed by Chrysalis, the New Roads to Second Chances program offers men and women on parole or probation transitional jobs beautifying Los Angeles’ freeways. In addition to paid transitional work, program participants receive individualized support and job training, access to workshops, support groups, and legal counseling, and job placement assistance.

Launched in November 2017, the New Roads program will help over 1,000 Angelenos get on a pathway to self-sufficiency. Since it’s launch, over 260 formerly incarcerated men and women have joined the program, and over 120,000 bags of trash have been collected!
