Services Overview
Chrysalis offers services to low-income and homeless individuals in Los Angeles County to prepare for, attain, and sustain employment. We offer our clients a hand up, not a hand out—building on their strengths and helping to reduce or eliminate any barriers to employment.
All Chrysalis clients enter our self-directed job search program where they receive comprehensive support as they search for work. Clients work closely with their Employment Specialist to build an employment plan and establish short- and long-term goals. We provide the tools and support necessary so they can succeed in the job market for the rest of their lives.
Our talented team of volunteers also help clients execute their plan by providing expertise and encouragement. Volunteering with Chrysalis is a rewarding experience. Visit the Volunteer section for more details on how you can get involved!
Chrysalis client services fall into four main categories:

Transitional Jobs Program
Established in 1991, Chrysalis Enterprises provides a transitional jobs program for clients who have the greatest barriers to employment. With Chrysalis Enterprises, our clients have the opportunity to gain real-world skills, build confidence, and develop the experience needed to find and retain long-term employment.
Post-Employment Support
We use a case-management model that provides individual help from an Employment Specialist as well as support groups. Our services address workplace and personal development issues that may affect a client's ability to stay employed. Support groups include: Men's, Women's, and Job Retention Groups, as well as Career Seminars, featuring volunteer guest speakers qualified to address a variety of employment-related topics.
Chrysalis' Support Groups and post-employment case management provide clients with the life skills and mentoring needed to successfully stay employed and on a path to lifelong self-sufficiency.
