In his role, he oversees the Skills and Experience for the Careers of Tomorrow (SECTOR) program, which combines training, paid work experience, and mental health support to help justice-impacted clients enter high-growth industries for livable wages.
Before joining Chrysalis in 2020, Alan worked at a humanitarian nonprofit in Afghanistan to tackle food scarcity and poverty through sustainable agriculture. He is an alum of Occidental College and is a current Master of Business Administration candidate at the University of Southern California.
Alan grew up in Seattle, Washington as a child of Chinese immigrants and now lives in South Los Angeles with his wife. He enjoys cooking and eating his way through the countless cuisines in Los Angeles.
