(LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Aug. 11, 2009) – Chrysalis, Los Angeles’ only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to helping individuals escape poverty and homelessness through employment opportunities, today announced that Mark Loranger has been confirmed as CEO and President. Trevor Kale has also been promoted to Vice President of Chrysalis Enterprises, a division of Chrysalis that provides quality services to businesses and government agencies while providing work experience to individuals with the most employment barriers.
Additionally, Chrysalis has elected two new members, Makan Delrahim and Sean Foley, to its Board of Directors. Delrahim is a Shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice Antitrust Division. Equally impressive, Foley is Executive Vice President and Regional Chairman of Southern California Commercial Banking for US Bank and Chairman of the US Bank Foundation.

Chrysalis helps over 2,500 individuals escape poverty and homelessness through employment opportunities each year. For those with the most barriers to employment, Chrysalis Enterprises provides nearly 600 men and women each year with transitional jobs.
Mr. Loranger has been interim CEO since February 2009. Previously, Mr. Loranger was Vice President of Chrysalis Enterprises for two years. He developed new business concepts for Chrysalis Enterprises and secured valuable maintenance contracts through the BIDs (Business Improvement Districts), such as the Downtown Center BID, Figueroa Corridor Partnership and North Hollywood BID.
Trevor Kale has been a driving force behind improving the operations, customer satisfaction and professionalism of Chrysalis Enterprises since joining in February of 2008.
