2009 was a monumental year for Chrysalis. Not only did we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, but the demand for our services grew exponentially. Over 400 a people a day sought services at our centers throughout Los Angeles County, representing a 40% increase since the economic downturn.

Thanks to the help and support of our Board of Directors, funders, volunteers, community partners and staff, we are proud to report that Chrysalis rose to the occasion and not a single client was turned away.

Chrysalis' mission of helping individuals become self-sufficient through employment is more relevant today than at perhaps anytime in our history. In 2010, Chrysalis will continue to provide our unique blend of supportive services to the most vulnerable members of our community. In addition, we will be working to understand how we can increase the capacity of our program and ensure that it remains relevant to the needs of our clients and community.

We hope this gives you a better understanding of the crucial role that Chrysalis plays in the Los Angeles and how your support ensures that we continue to be there for our clients.
