As the top employer in the county according to Orange County Business Journal reporting, Disney’s large network of VoluntEARS were front and center when it came to welcoming Chrysalis to Anaheim.

Along with fun, fantasy, and family, Disney is known for its spirit of giving back, and in keeping with this tradition of service, Disney Cast Members donated hygiene items and gently-used clothing. This effort was one of the largest in Chrysalis’ history and is estimated to help over 500 clients.

Orange County Site Director Kami Winfrey said, “As part of our comprehensive program, Chrysalis wants our clients to dress for success – and we can all relate to how a well-put-together ensemble can boost confidence and improve interview performance. We were just blown away by the wonderful Cast Members and Disney VoluntEARS. These selfless donations will help so many of our clients out of poverty and on a path to reaching their goals.”

In addition to the in-kind donations, Disney has shown a great interest in helping Chrysalis build roots in our new home through financial support and introductions to other community partners. “This partnership marks our increasing commitment to the city of Anaheim and the future of its economy and workforce,” said Disneyland Resort President Josh D’Amaro.

As we look toward 2019 and beyond, Chrysalis is excited to see this partnership grow as Disney VoluntEARS and Cast Members change lives with us in Orange County and help make our clients’ employment dreams come true.
