Today, we face a challenge common to many nonprofits in the social services sector – a financial burden intensified by bureaucratic delays in government compensation. To combat this, Chrysalis has initiated our Operating Reserve Initiative, which ensures that we can maintain our commitment to our clients by covering labor and operational costs during these delays. This initiative is a self-replenishing fund, which will also provide essential operational and financial stability for our organization. Our immediate goal? Build a $5 million reserve fund, equivalent to 90 days of outstanding receivables from our employment social enterprise businesses.
